Just one week into 2023, Park View Homes has received word that our custom home known as the “Luxurious Farmhouse” is a CHBA (Canadian Home Builders Association) Housing Excellence finalist for Best Detached Custom Home over 5,000 square feet.What exactly does this exciting news mean? It means that we are one step closer to taking first place with this gorgeous, beautifully designed, custom dream home, and that is something that the team at Park View Homes is very proud of.

Okay, so I’m sure you're wondering, what is it that makes this home so special? Well, All things Home- Ottawa’s trusted Resource for Homebuyers and Owners says it well in their recent post with the following comment: “In the case of this project, the clients’ wish for a home that didn’t tower over the landscape resulted in a design where much of the second floor is concealed within the attic space, giving the front elevation the appearance of a large bungalow. The home features a country design with modern touches, including a metal roof, black windows, a cathedral ceiling and open-concept living spaces with large windows. The fully finished in-law suite includes parking.”

Yes, you read that right. The home is in fact 2-storey and has a very well designed in-law suite attached, but you cannot tell by looking at the exterior photo. The home was also designed for a large family, so every detail was thought out to make the home suit the families needs.

Right from the moment you walk into the home, you are greeted by fine cabinetry, creating cubbies for the children in a stylish and organized manner. Directly off the entrance is the Laundry room, with an excellent variety of organizational tools such as racks, customized cabinetry to include additional hidden drying racks, drawers, and more.
